TPO Ban – What It Means and How We’re Moving Forward

Starting September 1st, 2025, the use and sale of nail products containing TPO (Trimethylbenzoyl Diphenylphosphine Oxide) will be officially banned across the EU. TPO is a photoinitiator used in many gels to help them cure under UV or LED light. However, it’s being restricted due to new safety regulations.

Our Commitment

At CakesInc.Nails, we’re fully transitioning to TPO- and HEMA-free formulas across our entire product line. This means our products are safer, compliant with EU regulations, and maintain the same high quality and performance professionals expect.

What This Means for Nail Techs

  • Check your current products for TPO in the ingredient list.
  • From September 2025, TPO based products can no longer be sold or used in the EU.
  • Switching to TPO free products ensures your salon stays compliant and future proof.

We’re proud to take this step towards safer, more responsible nail products without compromising on creativity or results.
